The Territorial Army (TA) celebrated the completion of 62 years at a function in the nation’s capital. Indian cricket team Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was conferred the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army by Army Chief General VK Singh and granted the rank of honorary Lieutenant Colonel by President Pratibha Patil. Dhoni led India to World Cup victory earlier this year and the honour has been bestowed on MS Dhoni for his outstanding contribution in the field of Cricket.
